Résumé: Four musicians play in the performance booked for the film take. The instrumentation of the ceremonial Gedang music of the Karo-Batak is called Gedang keteng-keteng. It consists of two tube zithers (Keteng-ketend) made of bamboo with two strings peeled out of the skin, which are beaten with two thin sticks, as well as a porcelain dish or something similar as a replacement for a gong. A flute or the Kulcapi lute is added as melody instrument. In this case the open Surdam long flute. The first piece "Mari-mari" (Come over here!) is played in old religious ceremonies to call the ghosts in possession dances.
