lds04: 17 figures of the Polar Eskimo string-game repertoire are demonstrated. Animals, bodyparts or utensils of daily use are imitated by string configurations. All figures can be performed by a single person. Some patterns present the object in a stable state, others also show its movements. Playing string-games is still a very popular pastime pleasure among the Polar Eskimos.
