Sung by a man from the Hamong sub-group, Ya Dung (Khamphiang), the type of epic story (meut mouan in Brao and lam cheuang in Lao) is sung laying down and can continue on for up to three nights in succession without any repetition. This particular part is about Ma Yang, the child of Nang Blawk Gre Jroung, who has been sick for a long time (nine months).
